Dr. Jones is an
Assistant Professor in the Schools of
Nursing and Medicine at Oregon Health &
Science University in Portland, OR.
Her undergraduate degree in nursing is from
the University of Tennessee, her masters and
nurse practitioner degrees are from Emory University
in Atlanta, GA, and her PhD is from Oregon
Health & Science University.
Her area of expertise is exercise physiology and neuroendocrinology in
fibromyalgia. She has been the principal investigator on over two
million dollars of research funding in
fibromyalgia from the National Institutes of
Health.
She has also been a principal investigator or
co-investigator on 16 other fibromyalgia
research studies, mostly in collaboration
with her colleagues on the Oregon
Fibromyalgia Research and Treatment Team.
She has 43 publications and is a frequently
invited speaker for patients, clinicians and
researchers investigating fibromyalgia. She
maintains a weekly clinical practice at
Oregon Health & Science University in which
she evaluates and treats people with
fibromyalgia.
She is currently President of the Fibromyalgia Information Foundation.
